After graduating from college in 1988, I joined my father at his business The MING Auto Detail Center located at my existing location. In order to accommodate my desire to generate a salary out of the business, I was encouraged to expand our product offerings. For 2 years, I ran an Auto Rental agency within the Auto Detail center. Not satisfied with the results I continued to look for additional opportunities to expand the business. In 1990 I opened a small accessory section in an area of the building. With a little marketing, it became immediately apparent that I had found a niche that Rochester could support. That same year my brother Mark joined me in the business which we initially called Topper Town. In 1992 we changed the name to Truckin’ America and the business grew. Today it continues to grow. We employ 11 employees and offer products that range from floor mats and mud flaps, to full commercial up fitting including Truck Toppers, Snow Removal Equipment, and Towing Equipment just to mention a few. We have 1000’s of products available for every type of vehicle.
I am a 5th generation Rochester resident, and a proud 3rd generation business owner. My Wife Pat and I have been married for 25 years. Our oldest son Spencer is a Junior Studying Engineering at the University of Wisconsin Platteville. Our youngest son Christian is a Sophomore at Lourdes High School. I attribute my success to many different factors, but the one thing I place above all others is my friendship and love of God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Because with friends like that, all things are possible. Amen.
